Tuberia Laguna is a 100% privately owned Mexican industrial enterprise, part of Grupo Tylsa, located in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico. Mr. Zelman Kessler, founder of Grupo Tylsa, was one of the most important promoters of the heavy industry development in local area in the half of the 20th century. His vision and entrepreneur spirit boosted the development of the region.

HISTORY
1976
Start of operations of the first pipe mill, considered the most modern in all Latin America in that time.
1977
Achievement of API-5L Certification, being the 3rd. company in the whole world to obtain such a certification.
1980
Change in leadership of Grupo Tylsa, and start of a formal branch network.
1985
Start of international sales.
1993
Sign in to the National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors (NASPD) in the United States.
1995
Development of an strategy to produce and sell top quality products for the water market.
1997
Achievement of ISO-9002 Certification.
1998
Achievement of Reliable Supplier Ceertification for Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) and Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE).
1999
Opening of branches in Bajio and South East areas under a new formal model named Distribution and Service Center (CEDYS).
2003
Foundation of Laguna Tubular Products in the United States.
2005
Achievement of ISO-9001 Certification, and sign in to the Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI) in the United States.
2006
Start of operations of the external coatings plant with state of the art technology.
2007
Achievement of API-5CT Certification, and renewal of corporate image to reflect a solid and modern sense.
2008
Start of operations of the 2nd pipe mill to expand the product portfolio with a state of the art technology that placed this mill as the most modern one in all America.
2009
Achievement of ISO/TS-29000 Certification.
2010
Achievement of the accreditation of the Quality Laboratory by the Entidad Mexicana de Acreditacion (EMA)
2013
Achievement of OHSAS-18001 Certification.
2018
Definition of an integral strategic plan to optimize the processes, to improve availability and to offer an excellent service to customers.
2019
Development of new products based on special steel alloys named XRC-50 that are highly efficient and corrosion resistant.
2021
A new type of FBE coating for high temperatures up to 150* Celsius

PRODUCT FINISHING PLANT
The top quality line pipe that we manufacture is the raw material to produce slotted screens and threaded column pipe for highly efficient deep water wells that have been successfully installed in many water wells in Mexico, United States, Central and South America.
